The thriller sub-genre that inspires me most right now is Murderous Passions. Although seeming like a simple genre to choose, there are so many different things that you can do to make this an exciting thriller. For example, you could make the plot extremely obvious and delve straight into the story, or you can drag it out a little bit, and make the story really dark and twisted.
